The Syntax of Wood — COMPAS Timber

The Syntax of Wood explores the merger of digital workflows and traditional timber craftsmanship, in the synergies of human-machine hybrid fabrication processes. Using the open source COMPAS framework, students will design simple timber interlocking structures through computational workflows and experience how digital precision merges with the irregularity of manual work.
